Gluten Free Air Fryer Chex Mix

This gluten free air fryer chex mix recipe is a quick and easy way to have a savory snack in under 10 minutes. You can have a healthy, homemade fall snack with little effort. This recipe is similar to the traditional chex mix with worcestershire sauce, but I've removed anything with gluten.

a white bowl of gluten free air fryer chex mix on a round wooden tray

I love my air fryer because I can make things in a much shorter time. This gluten free air fryer chex mix recipe is no exception! Instead of spending up to 45 minutes with chex mix in the oven I can quickly mix it together and have it ready to serve.

    Ingredients

    • Corn Chex
    • Rice Chex
    • Raw Mixed Nuts
    • Gluten Free Pretzels
    • Unsalted Butter
    • Worcestershire Sauce
    • Sea Salt
    • Garlic Powder
    • Onion Powder

    Instructions

Line a baking sheet with parchment paper.

In a small saucepan melt the butter. Add the worcestershire sauce, salt, garlic powder and onion powder.

In a large mixing bowl put the corn chex, rice chex, mixed nuts and pretzels. Pour the butter mixture over this and stir to coat everything.

Pour the mixture into the basket of your air fryer. Shake to make an even layer.

Air fry at 350 degrees for 7 minutes.

Immediately remove the mix from the air fryer and pour onto the parchment lined baking sheet. The chex mix is very hot and will continue to cook and sizzle a little. Let the chex mix cool completely before you move it to an air tight container or bag to store.

This air fryer turkey boneless breast recipe is a healthy way to enjoy the best turkey dinner! The recipe is gluten free and easy to make.

    Ingredients

    Scale

2 Tbsp. Unsalted Butter, at room temperature
    Glaze:
    ¼ cup Maple Syrup
    2 Tbsp. Honey
    1 Tbsp. Stone Ground Mustard
    1 tsp. Onion Powder
    1 tsp. Garlic Powder
    ½ tsp. Dried Ground Thyme
    ½ tsp. Chili Powder
    ½ tsp. Smoked Paprika
    ½ tsp. Sea Salt
½ tsp. Coarse Ground Black Pepper
2-3 pound Boneless, Skinless Turkey Breast

    Instructions

Place the thawed boneless, skinless turkey breast(s) in the basket of your air fryer. Rub with 1 tablespoon of the room temperature butter.

In a small bowl or 1-cup measuring cup mix together the maple syrup, honey, stone ground mustard, onion powder, garlic powder, dried thyme, chili powder, smoked paprika, sea salt and black pepper.

Pour half of this glaze mixture over the turkey.

Cook the turkey at 350 degrees for 12-20 minutes.

Cook at 350 degrees for another 8-15 minutes or until the inside temperature of the turkey breast reaches 165 degrees.

Immediately take the turkey breast out of the air fryer and let rest on a cutting board for 10 minutes.

    Slice and serve.

    Notes

The Costco Skinless, Boneless Turkey Breasts are my favorite. This turkey breast is delicious served with cranberry sauce and green beans. I roast frozen green beans in the air fryer at 380 degrees fo 9 minutes while the turkey breast is resting on the cutting board.

However, the turkey breast at Costco isn't available year round. I buy turkey tenderloin at the grocery store. They are usually 1.5 pounds, so I cook 2-3 of the tenderloins for dinner. You will need to use the lower cooking times shown above for these smaller turkey tenderloins.

    Top Tip

If you don't have an air fryer yet, you need to get one. I was super resistant to getting another kitchen appliance, but I use my air fryer all of the time. Literally, at least four nights a week.

Whether I'm making meats or cooking frozen vegetables (in 9 minutes!!) my air fryer has found a permanent home on my countertop. I have used mine so much that I will be looking for another on Black Friday.

    Frequently Asked Questions

    Can you air fry turkey?

Yes! I love to air fry the boneless turkey breasts from Costco. I'm sure you can get boneless turkey breasts anywhere, but Costco is the best price I've found. I rub the turkey breast with butter and then pour half the brine over it. I air fry one side and then do the same for the other. It is delicious!

How do you air fry turkey?

I take the boneless turkey breast out of the packaging and pat dry with a paper towel. I place the turkey breast into the air fryer basket. Then I rub the turkey breast with softened butter and pour half of my glaze over top.

I air fry the turkey breast and then take out of the air fryer immediately. Let stand on your cutting board for 10 to 15 minutes before cutting so the juices can settle. This is my new favorite way to enjoy turkey breast!

How long should I air fry a turkey?

Ultimately you need to make sure the center or largest part of the turkey reaches 165 degrees. Ensuring that your turkey is fully cooked is the most important part. For a three pound boneless, skinless turkey breast I cooked one side for 20 minutes at 350 degrees and then flipped to cook the other side for 15 minutes more. I used a digital meat thermometer to make sure the turkey had reached 165 degrees in the center of the meatiest part.

If I've purchased a smaller turkey breast or turkey tenderloin I lesson the cooking time by 5-7 minutes and check the temperature to make sure it is 165 or above in the thickest part of the meat. Turkey tenderloins are usually available year round at my grocery store.
