    Top Tip

If you have really large boneless skinless chicken breasts you may need to air fry two cutlets at a time and do this recipe in two batches. Its important not to crowd the chicken in air fryer so it gets crispy.

    Frequently Asked Questions

How long do chicken cutlets cook in the air fryer?

Chicken cutlets in the air fryer usually cook in about 10 minutes, depending on the thickness of the chicken and your air fryer model. The cutlets should be at least 165 degrees in the thickest part.

How do I keep air fryer chicken cutlets crispy?

To keep crispy air fryer chicken cutlets crunchy, arrange them in a single layer and avoid overcrowding the basket. This allows the hot air to circulate properly and helps the breaded coating crisp up instead of steaming. Serving them right away also helps maintain that fresh, crispy texture.

Can I make gluten free chicken cutlets in the air fryer ahead of time?

Yes, you can make these gluten free crispy air fryer chicken cutlets ahead of time and reheat them in the air fryer for a few minutes before serving. This helps bring back the crispy coating better than microwaving. They're a great option for an easy weeknight meal or meal prep dinner.
