    • Granulated Sugar

    Instructions

    In a small saucepan add the crushed pineapple with the juice from the can and the sugar. Stir together.

    Bring this mixture to a boil and simmer for 20-25 minutes until jam is thickened. Stirring occasionally to keep jam from sticking to the bottom of your saucepan. The jam will still be a little bit runny at this point but will thicken more once it cools.

    Pour the jam into a jar and cool completely. Store in a sealed jar in the refrigerator for up to one month.

    In a good nonstick saucepan this jam can cook with very little stirring required. I put the jam on the stove and then cleaned my kitchen and did other chores while I wait for it to thicken.
