Frequently Asked Questions

Is cocoa powder low carb friendly?

Yes! Cocoa powder doesn't contain sugar. There is about three grams of carbohydrates per tablespoon but those come from fiber. Adding cocoa powder is a great way to get chocolate flavor without a high carb count.

My absolute favorite cocoa powder is Rodelle Gourmet Baking Cocoa. It has a rich flavor and is gluten free.

Is cocoa powder good for you?

Cocoa powder has a lot of health benefits! It contains polyphenols that are thought to be great for inflammation, blood pressure, cholesterol and blood sugar. Many sites recommend you eat up to one serving per day.
