Frequently Asked Questions

Can you make a virgin long island?

Yes! It's so easy to make a non alcoholic long island iced tea. First, brew your tea. You can use regular or decaf black tea bags. Then add apple cider vinegar, lemon juice, baking soda, sugar and a can of ginger beer.

Stir to combine. The vinegar and baking soda will cause the drink to fizz some. Serve over ice with a lemon slice on top.

Why do you add baking soda to iced tea?

Adding a little baking soda will cut down on the bitterness of the tea. The baking soda counteracts the tannins in the tea to give it a nice smooth flavor. It's also supposed to make the tea less cloudy with a nice amber color.
