Description
This homemade pumpkin butter is thick, spiced, and ready in just 10 minutes on the stovetop. Made with pumpkin puree, brown sugar, honey, and warm spice, it is the perfect fall spread for toast, oatmeal, or your morning coffee.
Ingredients
- 1 cup Pumpkin Puree
- 1/4 cup Brown Sugar
- 1 Tbsp Honey
- 1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
- 1 tsp Pumpkin Pie Spice
- 1/4 tsp Sea Salt
Instructions
In a saucepan over medium heat add the pumpkin puree, brown sugar, honey, lemon juice, pumpkin pie spice and sea salt. Stir to combine.
Heat while stirring until the sauce goes from bright orange to a dark orange and thickens a bit, about 5 minutes.
Remove pan from heat and let the pumpkin butter cool slightly.
Pour the pumpkin butter into a sealable container and let cool to room temperature.
Store in an air tight container in the refrigerator for 7-10 days.
