This healthy lemon ginger tea recipe is great for colds. I add honey and a pinch of cayene to give it great flavor. My easy recipe walks you through how to make this hot tea that’s loaded with vitamin C.
2 cups Water 2 inch piece of Ginger, sliced 1 medium Lemon, sliced with peel on 1 Tbsp. Honey pinch of Cayenne Pepper
In a 2 quart saucepan heat the water, ginger and lemon to boiling. Reduce to a simmer and let simmer for 10 minutes. Cool the tea slightly and then remove the lemon and ginger pieces. I like to strain my tea though a fine mesh strainer. Pour the tea into your mug and then add honey and a pinch of cayenne.
If you don’t like spicy things you can omit the cayenne pepper. If you want a sweeter tea you can add more honey or another sweetener of your choice.
